Gladiators Readyyyy

AG is Back!
AG Site

I'm sure you've seen the commercials. American Gladiators is coming back and beter than ever. Am I the only one who used to watch this show religously in the early 90s? Turbo, Laser, Ice, Storm, Wolverine... wait I think thats the X-Men. Whatever! Its AG!!!

Re: Gladiators Readyyyy

I thought there was a thread on this already. Aniwho, I'm excited! Can't wait! Me and my dad used to watch it all the time. Wasn't it on USA though?

I've been watching the old reruns on TV... I hope this lives up to the memories!

Re: Gladiators Readyyyy

I think the topic of AG was brought up in another thread, but I don't think the new AG was mentioned. Either way, I'm hella psyched about this! The old show came on NBC I think and then they probably showed old episodes on USA after it stopped taping. They just started showing it on ESPN Classic again too.

Can you say Eliminator!?

Yeah, I got to see one of the first ones with the basic set and the pathetic eliminator. There was this one blonde haired white dude that looked like an 80's rock star. I can't remember his name though. Hilarious

Re: Gladiators Readyyyy

The Eliminator was definitely pretty lame in the beginning. Remember how pitiful Assault was? It was basically just a tennis ball shooter with some tables turned on their side scattered around a parking lot.

I wonder if Adamle and Czonka will make a special guest appearance???

Re: Gladiators Readyyyy

Dont get me wrong, im psyched about the new american gladiators. But after reading about the new gladiators im not sure how impressed I am. Most of them have a line or two about them that makes me wonder about them.

Hammer: Is also a professional model
Justice: Has been on the gilmore girls
Militia: Is a dancer, and his last name is castro. This is AMERICAN gladiators not commie gladiators!
Titan: Wasnt good enough to be a full gladiator back in 1995, maybe the past 12 years have been really good to him
TOA: Was in a black eyed peas video, and was a stunt double in the stepford wives

I just think maybe they should have gotten some guys who arent actors who look like they could have been stunt doubles for the zoolander scene where they had the gasoline fight. Screw actors I want a guy on roids that just got out of prison on the show!

Now the chicks are pretty hot looking, and there is something about a girl that could kick my ass that turns me on!

Re: Gladiators Readyyyy

I'm pretty excited about this! I watched the original when it was new and I've been checking out the re-runs lately too. I'm also for roid pumping criminals to be on the show rather than actors...it just makes more sense.

Re: Gladiators Readyyyy

+1 to roided up ex-cons (or actual cons taking a break from the prison life).

i didn't watch the old show much, i was a bit young when it was around and my mom didn't like me watching violent tv shows. i also wasn't too interested in tv back then. i do remember seeing a couple of shows though, i'd like to see some reruns, anyone know where i can find them online?

is this show going to be exclusively in the states? what channel, etc. if it's on spike i'm good, i don't think i get nbc though.
