VW 2000 P1128 DTC

i have a vw 2000. new fuel filter, plugs, drive belt. 2 days later eng. lite on new air filter, lite on- new o2 sensor- lite on again- new 2nd o2 sensor lite on again same code P1128. please help if anyone can. I'm $1200. into this whith engine light still coming on. Runs great although going thru alot of gas. Is this related to the fuel filter, maybe????????Desparete.
