Spark plugs and wires

I just wanted to know what brand of spark plugs and wires you guys are using in your malibu. I was thinking of using the oem acdelco but I cant seem to find any place that carries them. If you have any part #'s or links to sites that sell acdelco could you please post them. Thanks

By the way, I have a 2002 Malibu with the 3.1L engine.

Re: Spark plugs and wires

If at all possible, it is best to use OEM parts. This place should have everything you need.

I've seen many customers try other aftermarket plugs and end up with various driveability issues that "mysteriously" went away when OEM plugs were reinstalled.
An online A C Delco catalog can be found here:http://www.oewarehouse.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv
You can locate local stores in your area that sell A C Delco parts by zip code here:http://www.acdelco.com/index.jsp

Re: Spark plugs and wires

Thanks for the replies and links. I decided to go with the acdelco plugs and maybe taylor wires or acdelco wires. Those sites mentioned here seem to have some of the lowest prices for the plugs and wires I have seen. Has anybody ever ordered from them before? Rockauto also has reasonable prices. Only bad thing about these sites is they sell the plugs eight to a pack. The only place I found that carries the plugs locally is Pepboys for $8 a piece but I rather order online since it still comes out cheaper.

Re: Spark plugs and wires

Were you able to locate a local A C Delco retailer in your specific area? That link I posted above (http://www.acdelco.com/index.jsp) lets you enter your zip code, then shows results. I buy from a local A C Delco warehouse that mainly sells to the dealers and independent garages in my area, and also started selling retail a few years ago when they expanded. Their prices are very good and you also can save on shipping costs. I have purchased from Rock auto many times in the past and have never had a problem. Their prices are also good and their shipping costs are also good. You can even call them if you have questions.

Re: Spark plugs and wires

I tried using the zip code thing and apparently there is not any retailer in my area. The only thing I found locally was the spark plugs but for $8 a piece so I am going to just order from Rockauto. One last question. What plugs should I go with my owners manual says 41-940 but all the sites say OEM was 41-101. One is platinum the other Iridium.
