Is there any difference between these super chargers?

I can find PN 0060217620201 for under $1900, PN PTR013596201 I can find at $2300. I can't find descriptions on what exactly they include, so is the second like more of a complete kit?

Re: Is there any difference between these super chargers?

TRD says ( http://www.trdusa.com/partscatalog.c...ehicle=4runner ):

PTR013596204 is for '99-'00 3.4 L and includes a 7th injector.

PTR013596201 is for '96-'02 3.4 L

PTR013596260 is for '99-'00 3.4 L and includes a 7th injector, hardware and fuel lines and plug-in piggyback ECU (modifies fuel delivery and ignition timing).

PTR013596261 is for '01-'02 3.4 L and includes a 7th injector, hardware and fuel lines and plug-in piggyback ECU

PTR013504005 is for '01-'02 3.4 L and includes a 7th injector

Apparently, PTR013596201 is a barebones SC with enough hardware to get it running. It is well known that this SC/engine combination doesn't run well (runs lean) without additional fuel (7th injector).

I would get the PTR013596261 for your truck to make sure it lives up to its potential. The other part number you listed is probably one that is no longer in production or never was sold by TRD. Or possibly, it is just a bare compressor unit. It doesn't have a TRD part number. The ones currently being sold (7th injector + ECU) are like the 3rd or 4th generation SC kit for the 3.4 L engine.

Re: Is there any difference between these super chargers?

So I just found a few links that had my cheaper one listed.
http://www.toyotaworld.com/trdsupercharger.html

Looks like the PN rolled/it was an old generation. I would probably be better off using the newest stuff if I decide to go the SC route.

After looking at some sites, it looks like (with the current PNs):

PTR013596201 is the basic SC kit and I can find it for $2300.

PTR013596261 is 7th injector kit including hardware and fuel lines and plug-in piggyback ECU and I can find it for $1050.

PTR013504005 is SC and 7th injector, but I can't find if includes all the additional hw, fuel lines and piggyback ECU. I can find it for $2750. Based on price, I am guessing it doesn't have everything from -261. Regardless, I am sending them (TRD) and email asking for clarification.

Re: Is there any difference between these super chargers?

Thank you for your interest in TRD. Yes, part number PTR01-35962-61 included the complete supercharger kit and the 7th injector kit. Just to let you know, the 7th injector kit is discontinued and no longer available. But the supercharger is available and can be purchased through an authorized Toyota dealer or on-line dealers like www.trdsparks.com or www.cabeperformance.com

So looks like the $2750 kit would have been the best value but is no longer available unless I can find one that is in stock (which I am guessing is somewhat unlikely).
