Looking for distributer seal kit instructions

1990 Camry 3S-FE distributor has internal and external oil leaks. Found the kit and recall seeing the instructions posted somewhere but am currently unable to locate them. Are they supplied with the kit? Any new info on this repair?

Thanks!
Bill

Here is a couple of links that might help you.

replacing the external distributor oil seal is fairly simple but I heard replacing the internal distributer oil seal is somewhat difficult. I don't think the links contains any instructions on replacing the internal dist. seal. Good Luck. BTW, if you rebuild the distributor please post back and let us know how it turned out.

Re: Looking for distributer seal kit instructions

Took the easy way out and installed a reman from Napa. The bottom mount bolt was missing. Could this have caused the shaft seal to leak?

When you say the bottom mount bolt was missing, are you refering to one of the 2 timing adjustment bolts for the distributor?
If yes then I doubt that would cause the internal shaft seal to leak. It might of caused the outer seal to leak oil onto the engine.

Incorrect nomenclature on my part. Yes, I am referring to the 2 timining adjustment bolts/outer seal and external leak.
I have agreed to fix ALL of the oil leaks on this vehicle. The car belongs to a friend of my daughter. I have corrected leaks at the oil filter, oil pressure switch and distributor. It is still leaking oil from somewhere. Can the oil pump/crankshaft area be viewed at all with the upper timing cover removed? Thanks

Not with the upper timing cover removed but with the lower timing cover removed you can.
