How do I get C/A off jeans?

Ok, well I was modeling and the C/A tube (superglue) erupted when I cleaned off the dried top and it landed on my brand new jeans...
Hence, there is a hard spot there that looks like I pissed my pants...
Any ideas on how to get it out without wasting the jeans?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Re: How do I get C/A off jeans?

Apparently acetone (nail polish remover) might do it, according to the missus.

Low temperature could help (some ice in plastic bag), acetone will help for sure but it will ruin the color of the material.

hrm.. was thinking... how about shoving it into the freezer for the night... will that effect my jeans?
I know about acetone.. just don't want me brand new jeans to look like I pissed in them forever...

I remember the commercial for Levi's with the guy getting up and going for the jeans in to the freezer to be as tight as possible, so if they put that on TV you should be safe

ROFL

Toluene would melt CA, we call here Nitro thinner. Dunno know how it would do to the denim: just try a corner.

Re: How do I get C/A off jeans?

C/A will NEVER come out in the wash. I know for a fact that it is highly effected by heat. Heat brakes it down, and de-molecularizes the agent. So, if you get it really hot without catching it on fire, you might be ok. Get it really hot, then start bending it, and it should turn to dust, but I don't know about the stain.

Test out the debonder on the inside of the belt area, or at the hem at the bottom of the pant leg to check for color fastness, if no change in color go for it.

Look at it this way, if you screw up your pants trying to remove the super glue, they were ruined when the glue landed there, so there's no loss. Use the jeans as work pants, and buy some new ones. I know levi's are expensive (specially if you live in Korea), but no one wants to walk around looking like they pissed their pants!

Re: How do I get C/A off jeans?

Drench the CA'd area with debonder for 15 minutes, then boil them in soapy water for an hour. That ought to soften them up! Or destroy them.
