Subaru Tranaxles in Kit Car

I was wonder if a subaru flat four connected to a Impreza transaxle could be used in a custom middle engined rear wheel drive car with indepentant suspention. If not, would a transaxle created for a VW type 4 work (with the subaru flat four)?

Re: Subaru Tranaxles in Kit Car

You could have custom axles made to adapt the two together, but I'd look hard at keeping it all one brand. So much easier.

no reason it shouldn't work with some fabrication skills. A torch and a welder work wonders
