straight piping

I have an '89 4cyl mustang and wanted to remove the muffler and put straight piping on it. If I'm trying to get a louder, deeper sound with the car do you think that this is a good idea?

Nope not a good idea, it will sound like crap. You won't get a deep sound out of a 4cyl. You will loose too much back pressure by removing the muffler and actually hurt performance. You best bet would be to get a I4 header and an aftermarket muffler, I can get you more info on that if you want. But whatever you do that car will always sound like an angry bumble bee.
