Check the little rubber bumper that the switch pushes on...it's
probably worn away causing the lights to stay on. [email protected] WHY ARE YOU YELLING?

Similar problem with supra, please help!
I am having the same problem on my 87 supra, and I dont know what to do. The rear and brake lights dont shut off, no matter what I do. Please tell me what to do to fix it. I understand the problem was Identified, but I dont understand what you are talking about. It would help greatly if you told me how to fix this problem quickly beofre the battery burns out.
Thanks Much, Greg |

on your brake pedal, toward the top, the should be a rubber stopper there. it sounds like yours broke or wore out, so go buy one from a parts shop like napa or something and just put the replace the stopper. if you need help, just ask the guys/girls working there. it's not hard to fix.

Re: Brake Lights Dont Turn Off!!
i used a simpler solution than going to the store. go to your garage/tool area. get a simple plastic device made for screws (the one that fills a hole in brick/cement). sorry i don't know the actual name for it. it worked perfectly for me. that IS a pretty scary problem when you first encounter it. hope this helps.
