That's why you add a few bottles of paints to one or two kits, and the shipping for the paints will be negligible. I recently ordered four kits (about the same size as 3 typical Fujimi boxes), one set of GP1 clear and two bottles of GSI Creos paints, from Rainbow Ten, and the shipping was only 1980 yen.

I live in Houston, TX. If you click the user name, you can browse public info, and I had checked yours before I posted my previous message.
Here's the detailed ordering info of my previous purchase.

Sep.29: Order sent, w/ Paypal for the payment method, and small packet SAL for the shipping method
Sep.30: Paypal money request came
Sep.30: Sent the payment
Oct. 02: Shipping notice came
Oct. 12: Package arrived
It depends on which day of the week your package is sent, but in my experience, SAL never took longer than 20 days from Japan to US.

Although Rainbow Ten doesn't offer one of those convenient shopping cart features, like Hobby Link Japan, Hobby Search or Hobby World, and R-Ten's search engine isn't versatile, often forcing you to manually going through a long list, but copying & pasting item info, and sending it by an email is effortless. Their processing time is very fast, too.

Another good thing about R-Ten is that I can choose small-packet SAL. It's the best shipping method below 2.0 kg (about 4.4 lb)

Obviously, small packet SAL is the best option, but it has the limit of 2.0 kg. Still, if your package weighs 3.5 kg, for example, it'd cost 6150 yen by SAL Parcel (2nd class air). R10 splits the package into say, two 2.0 kg boxes (incl. extra packing and box) and you'd pay 2080 x 2 = 4160 yen (almost 2000 yen saving over SAL Parcel).

So, Rainbow 10 has been my favorite Japanese online shop for quite sometime.

Re: Anyone use Finishers paint?

I have been tracking the length of time it takes to get a shipment from Japan, It has been exactly 16 days on several orders from HLJ, from the day it left to the day I received it using SAL.
