Squeek in Engine Compartment
I own a 2003 Ford Taurs SES. There is a loud squeek coming from the engine area. The pulleys seems fine, the nosie seems to be coming from between the engine and transmission. What is the fix?
Thank You

Re: Squeek in Engine Compartment
I certainly can't say this IS the fix, but your very short description sounds like it could be a camshaft position sensor. There have been numerous posts about the CMP sensor causing a squeak/chirp.
Use the "Search this forum" feature from the Taurus forum main page and search for the keyword "Camshaft" or "CMP." -Rod |
