Question about connectors

hey guys, I was going to try this mod...

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=762051

But before I begin, I wanted to search the net for a connector opposite to the one that is currently in the car connected to the analog DIC. Reason being, I do not want to cut factory wires and want this mod to be easily reversable. Problem is, I cannot find anywhere I can order one. I cannot even find a website that sells a connecter for an analog DIC. I thought if i could somehow get the specs of it, I could order the exact opposite from mouser.com. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Question about connectors

GM sells that connector without leads (it's just the plastic part, no wires or metal connectors)

Re: Question about connectors

you could always use splicers. they tap into a wire without ruining it. thats what i was planning on doing when i try this.

Re: Question about connectors

yeah, but splicers allow for moisture and corrosion to happen at the point where the insulation is broken.

Re: Question about connectors

If you're looking for a jumper harness to adapt from to the other, I doubt anyone makes such a thing. I'm sure you could find the pins and wire and custom make your own, but that would be tedious, and the wires would be individual, not held in a plastic snap connector.

Re: Question about connectors

I know that this thread is a little old, but if you go to Mouser's web site and do a search on the numbers above, you may find what you need. Mouser carries both the sealed and unsealed Delpi connectors. The prices are very reasonable.
