Alternator not charging battery
I have a 2002 Crown Vic, not a police type. The battery keeps draining, I have put a new battery and new alternator but it does not charge the battery. Any Help Please......

did you put the correct alt. they changed the alternator about that year and they will fit the car but wont charge properly.

How's it going fleettech? I think the alternator change was on 03. This was the first year for the overrunning clutch on pulley. OK now to original poster, have you checked all the fuses under the hood? There is a 20 amp fuse that controls the charging. Let us know.

buiser than ever at work need more bays and techs. 2003 was the change to the clutch pulley but I have some 02s that if you put the standard alternator for an 01 on they won't charge right and sometimes won't turn on the light good thing they are a 10 minute job.
