Question 95 olds acheiva 2.3L won't start

This engine has no fire or fire to the injectors. It has fire to the module, and from the crank position sensor. there is fire to the fuel pump, but it will not fire the plugs. the service engine soon light comes on but it will not flash a code 12 when it is shorted. i put a acutron scanner on it and it says all the quad drivers are bad. I just put a reman ecm on it and it still says the quad drivers are bad. I'v look in the manuals and i cannot find what the quad drivers are or where they are. from reading some of the answers on the forum it looks like the drivers are all the sensors is this true or am i still lost. in the manual it said that the service engine light was malfunctioning and i traced it out but all the wires seem to be in tact and not shorted or loss of ground from the ecm. Can the Prom be dead if the car has not run in 5 or so years. 4 mechanics have work on this car and could not fix it. I said I had a lot of time so i have been working on it for a year on and off when i had time to play with it. any one have an answer to this quiz.

Quad drivers....
a Quad driver code means is that an expected value is not present when it’s suppose to be. Also a Quad driver is a techy name for 4 on-off switches arranged in a group, hence the name Quad driver.

The computer watches the voltage values on each switch and knows that if the switch is on, a voltage value will be seen.
When the switch is off the opposite voltage value will be seen. Simply put, light on, light off.
So what can set a quad driver code? You’d be surprised. How about a bad bulb? How about a bad fuse? The answer is yes to both questions. Yes, a bad bulb or failed fuse can set a Quad driver code. Start with checking your fuses. There can be up to 3 fuses that supply power to circuits controlled by the Quad drivers.

If the fuses are good the next check would be of all or some of the following, depending on how your vehicle is equipped: Up shift light bulb, coolant hot bulb, shift to drive bulb, A/C relay, coolant fan relay, EGR solenoid, Canister Purge solenoid, even a speedometer output signal goes to one of the switches on the Quad driver.

It’s likely that the Quad driver code is present because the computer is not seeing the information that it expects to see at one of the switches.

So was a relearn procedure tried when the ecu was changed?
Often when its replaced you need to do a relearn.

Attemp to start, leave key in the on position for 11 minutes.
Turn off key for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Then repeat this 3 X.

ITs worth a shot and Good Luck.
