cut offs or new pipes?.....

Hello guys, I just viewed Mr. Lous vid on youtube, and he says that he has cut offs.......well my ? is, i'm thinking of getting 3" pipes from the cat on back. And im starting from the cat because I read that the manifold on these firebirds were made pretty open and that it would'nt make a very significant improvement if I replaced them with headers. Ok the second part of my ? is, should I get cutoff also?......... oh and this is a V6 here, please help me improve the sound on it.

He has "cut-outs", not cutoff's. I wouldn't recommend you get one unless you go to the track often. Wouldn't be necessary otherwise. Headers are always a good improvement, but if you don't plan on drastically modifying your car, then I agree that you are better off with your stock manifolds. Less headaches, and less maintenance. As for exhaust, I would recommend you get a 3" Magnaflow catback, with a new Magnaflow/Carsound (same company) high flow cat.
