TOMS toyota 84C group-C 4cyl

hey,ive finally finished possibly my favourite group C car of all time(except maybe the 787b,rotary anyone?or the various other toyotas, cos their all equally awsome)sure, its a 4 cylinder, but hey!its a toyota, that alone makes it kool....moving right along....
this has to be the best paint job ive done,im really proud of it,unfortuanlty these pics dont show it off well, i was not planning to put pics up until i got some good shots in the sunset on my driveway with the sun on the paint job,but i couldnt resist putting some pics up now, since i wanna know what people think, some more artistic photos will be up shortly, at the moment, its 2:40 in the morning in australia,so there wont be any going outside,i put a fair bit of effort into the engine, a lot of pipes and detailing, only thing left is the right hand side brake line(the chrome braided one you can see on the left) comments and critiscism are always welcome, but aLL in all im very happy with this.i made the intercooler pipe out of solder that I polished with tamiya finish polish,it came up like chrome, i would sudgest to try this,as its just like a peice of bendy chrome pipe,so usefull anyway, tell me what you reckon, until next time.

Good work! You're right, that intercooler pipe does look good. I'll have to try that. That is a cool car, but didn't Toyota make a similar car--the 88C perhaps?? that had a much larger engine? I don't recall. Anyways, good work!

thanks! and yes, toyota made a few group C's,and like nissan, named then via the year it ran,the 84C was debuted at the fuji 12 hour i think in 1984 and was named the 84 C, it ran a 2.0 4cyl called 4T-GT i think, unsure, the same as the pikes peak celica ran.there was an 85C,which was collectivly the 84C with body modifications, which ran at le mans, under the name 85C,the 88C, looked simialer in places to this model 84C,especially at the rear, but the front was different(quite attractive actually) it had a large, twin turbo V8 as a lot of group C's did, whether there was an 89C,but there were a million varients of this car,and they were all basically the same design, improved each time, fair to say they kept the same basic car and modified it,alrthough by the time the 88C came around, there wasnt much 1984 left.the car was built as an ALL purpose racer, not designed specifically for le mans, and ran in a lot of jap championships under different names and configurations.
and thanks all for the comments! im glad you seem to like it
