Headlamp lens cover

I noticed tonight that my driver's side headlamp lens cover for my 1998 GP 3.8 is missing. The dealer sells the complete assembly for about $250.00. Can I buy a replacement lens or do I have to change the complete assembly?

Re: Headlamp lens cover

not sure. check out "Morads" on ebay, he specializes with these cars, and if you do have to replace should be alot cheaper through him.

Re: Headlamp lens cover

yeah, i think he dealer can actually provide you with just the headlamp housing without the bezel and the parking light housings. I will see if I can find a GM part number for you.... Stand by

Re: Headlamp lens cover

ALLRIGHT!!!!!

It looks like the GM part number for just the headlight capsule for the left is 16522599 and for the right 16522600. Wish I'd have found this TSB before I bought My new headlights. Oh Well, have replacements now.

BTW, TSB = 01-08-42-004a, Date = October 2001

Re: Headlamp lens cover

Thanks for the info but my GM dealer did not have the part in fact the parts guy told me there is no such part. I got stopped by the fuzz so I was forced to get one - I bought it from the wrecker - still $142.00 but it was cheaper.
