Something arrived weeks ago..

What's inside?

It's the AMT/ERTL Tokyo Drift Evo kit !!

I been waiting for this a long time since we can't get such kit in Malaysia.
But real lots of thanks to Fabbri_Guy, I manage to get it straight from Kansas to Malaysia.

Well, upon inspection, I noticed that the boxart is not the complete build of the mode as some parts in the sprue are not used.. Here are the parts of the model. I am amazed by the amount of detail that AMT/ERTL put to the model.
Everything is well detailed!!

The chassis..

I would dare to say that the chassis is a very detailed one and comparable to Tamiya and beat Fujimi crap chassis.

The body

Well, seems out of scale though but I still can accept it...

Chrome parts..

Not my taste though but still bearable after some stripping and repainting...

Clear parts and rubber

Clear parts are good, especially for the lamps.. The signal indicator on the front lamp are separated also. The tyres are very very thin...

Interior, bumpers and bonnet...

Interior is beautifully done compared to Fujimi's and rivaled Tamiya's one.
It even have proper door panels!!

Engine and the rest....

I am shocked to find that the engine of this kit is well detailed! Maybe I can cast some parts for my future projects.. Well done by AMT!

Chassis details are good too..at least to me

Decals

My only complaint was only that the decals are not very good and some markings are missing like the dashboard details and some 'Evolution' markings.

I don't know about the fitments issues though. Hopefully will be less problem for me. Plastic flash in the kit is minimum and to me it's quite a good kit at a bargain price..

Again, thanks to Fabbri_Guy for the awesome trade!!!

Andrew~

I have to agree on the details being well done, but the overall presentation is quite poor. AMT should have been slapped for shaming model builders with such a disproportionate pile of plastic. From what I understand the kit goes together well with just minimal issues, and actually builds into a nice model, though more like a real-ized cartoon car.
