Shipping a Motorcycle?

Just lookin' for ideas guys, got this together:



And have no idea how to pack it so it doesn't show up in a million pieces... Suggestions?

What i would do is cut a piece of foam to the shape of the bike, cut out the indents even for the handle bars.

use a tupperware container and then pack the bike into it like this:


use foam, or other solid, softer non abrasive blocks to keep the bike from tilting, and bouncing around inside. then use twisty ties to secure the wheels to the bottom of the tupperware container. also use a foam attatched to the lid to help keep it from bouncing upward.

once you get the bike packed into the tupperware container, pack it into a heavy cardboard box with atleast 2-3 inches on all sides (top, bottom, and 4 sides) between the container and box. pack this area with news papers, or packing peanuts. something that will provide cushion so vibration and the occasional poke from other boxes and such.

You might also want to use some lint free cloth inside the tupperware container to help prevent it from moving around inside the container.

Now THAT is a fascinating idea rsxe. I'll see if I can find a tupperware container that fits.

Use the beans from a bean bag(little polystyrene beads which are about 1-2mm thick .That is what I've used ever time I have moved house never any breakage's
