Smile 1/32 Shelby Cobra 427

First model I've built in a couple years Built box stock... airbrushed tamiya metallic blue (no clear) and chromey bits were done with alclad II polished aluminum and bare metal foil.

Had to do a lot of sanding/filing on those tires to get the tread smooth (lots of excess plastic running down the center)

1/32 gauges/instruments are no fun to detail The interior is also flocked black because, well, I like the carpet look. The brake lights were molded into the body so these were brush painted chrome silver, then transparent red and orange were painted on top in an attempt at giving it some depth.

This little guy got me back into modelling hardcore... Currently working on 4 1/2 kits right now

thoughts?

Great work! Who makes the kit? 1/32 seems like an oddball scale for cars...

thx Monogram makes it as one of their 'Snaptite' kits. It had been collecting dust on my shelf for years and I thought I'd try to make something decent out of the skill 1 model.

Looks very nice! Its exactly the same (but in 1.32 scale) as my 1/24 Cobra. Same colour, no stripes, interior etc etc.

Heh thank you thank you. my sig thanks you

Lowriders4Life: thanks! Did you build one of the 1/24 Fujimis? If so, how were they? I was contemplating the purchase of one recently. That or I'd love to get my hand on a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe...

Anyone know if anyone besides Gunze makes that one? Or a decent online retailer that might stock one? My search ran dry...
