Check to make sure no fuses are blown especially any related to the BCM - Body Control Module. Also, connections and wiring to the BCM module.

The starting problem sounds like a Passlock issue which could be related to the ignition switch. Haved you tryed the relearn? Key in ignition to on for at least 10 minutes.

Yeah I tried the relearn , but it wont work becuase it seems like the security is just on.Everytime I start it it just doesnt stay, the security light comes on and then it cuts off. where is the fuse for the BCM, because i has to be something wrong with that becuase I have no lights, chimes, trunk release, locks dont work.

Yeah, I agree it sures sound like the BCM module went South on you but it could be a loss of 12 volts feeding it. At the driver's side fuse box look for one marked BFC BATT. If you have the owner's manual all fuses are covered at Chapter 6. There are several BCM related maxi and mini fuses in the engine compartment fuse box too. Another possibility is the ignition switch.

Re: Some one please help me!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know if it was a good idea but I tried a new ignition switch I gfot from the junk yard. It was only ten bucks, I then got lock smith to make me a key and it still didnt work. I am thinking it might be my bcm maybe, I havent checked all the fuses yet, I heard that the moisture fron the blower motor sometimes shorts out the bcm. I just think the BCM idea has something to do with the lights, locks trunk, and starting issues. Do you know how a bcm cost, can I use a used one from another car, becuase they are easy to take off.

Re: Some one please help me!!!!!!!!!!

There is a GM service tag on the BCM module with a code/numbers. Whatever replacement you get such as a pull from a salvage yard must match it. Get one off your year with similar features, options and engine. If you get a new BCM module it will need to be programmed/initialized by a GM dealer.

Re: Some one please help me!!!!!!!!!!

thanks alot for all your help. I have one more question though. Since the security light is on solid, it doesnt blink. Will I still be able to do the relaern for the othere ignition switch I have. Someone told me that I have to repeatedly do it until the security light goies off. They told me to leave it in the on position for ten minutes repeatdeatly. I jus hope that it works

Re: Some one please help me!!!!!!!!!!

You're welcome.

Yes. Key in ignition for at least 10 minutes and off for 30 minutes. You may have to repeat. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
