2003 cvpi speedometer calibration
Hello, I recently upgraded my 2003 CVPI by putting a 3.73 gear in. I'm having trouble finding a way to recalibrate the speedometer. I took it to the dealership and they couldnt do it in the programmable parameters and the Superchips tuner cant do it either. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions.
Thanks, Ryan. |

Re: 2003 cvpi speedometer calibration
See if you can find the plastic gear that is for a 3:73 and change the gear on the VSS. Since it cant be programmed, you need to change the mechanical end of it.

Re: 2003 cvpi speedometer calibration
From what i understand the 2003 and newer models dont use VSS or colored plastic speedo gears to derive vehicle speed and use the "OSS" output shaft speed sensor.
