Intermittent Ignition Problems
Every once in a while(maybe once a day, sometimes less), when I turn my car on I hear the engine start for a second, the car shakes very mildly for about 1 - 1.5 seconds, then engine goes off, but lights and everything stay on. When this happens, the only way to get the engine to run is to turn the ignition and give it some gas then it comes on fine. I've never had it stall on me or have any problems after I get it running.
Anyone know what could be causing this? I am going to try putting some fuel injection cleaner in my car, see if thats the problem. |

Re: Intermittent Ignition Problems
How many miles do you have? Since you have a '04 GT you have the normally aspirated SIII 3800 engine. Based on your symptoms I would check fuel pressure to make sure it is in specs, especially at fuel pump prime which is checked at ignition to on not start.
