Re: Power door lock switchs don't work....

well have you checked the switches... by that i mean are the switches sending the signal to the BCM.. they have a direct input to the bcm.

White wire i believe is the unlock and light blue is the lock. the bcm is on the passenger side up under the dash right behind the fuse block..

I have the exact opposite problem. My lock switches work, but the doors do not lock and unlock when taking out of or placing into park.

At the same time this problem started to occur, the passenger side power sliding door would not automatically open via any button or handle. It would auto-shut when I pulled on it. I have since had the windshield replaced with required the battery to be disconnected. Now the sliding door is totally dead.

Any clue?

Hacksaw.

In your owners manual is listed the procedure for reprogramming your locks to work when you go into drive or park.I don't have the manual handy at this time but know it's in there as I had to do the same thing on my Venture around the same time the power sliding door was screwing up. Also there is reset procedures for the power sliding door in the manual.

Re: Power door lock switchs don't work....

Well there are few wires coming from the door lock switches in the door.. going back to the BCM.. Lock or unlock sends the wire to GND. I have the diagram of a bunch of the schematics... got the alldata stuff. I can scan it and email it tomorrow or maybe someone has someplace we can sticky them. Mine are from a 2003. Been too damn cold I still havent fixed my Possessed auto unlocking van.. and ...... The van will be paid off tomorrow.. Time to get the intake gsk done LOL..

hey hacksaw im having the same problems but my reverse lights are also out i think ive narrowed it down to the neutral saftey switch all these systems require input from the switch to operate. Also do you have a check engine light on ? i do and the code refers to the EGR valve which also takes a signal from the NSS as soon as i get the time to actually check the switch ill let you know what ive found out

Hi Hacksaw,

We just bought a 2001 Montana in December, and we noticed to sliding door behind the driver's seat would do the same as yours, check up top, there is a child safety lock, we unlocked it and it now works.

Hope this helps.
