I just changed the spark plugs on my 2000 Max SE with OEM plugs just after taking a general auto course and did a compression check as well. I did the check wrong and burned out the starter fuse. Replaced that and all was fine until..... a month later and now have a severe power drop off at hard accelleration at low revs. Also the engine idles like crap on and off. Any advice from the more experienced welcomed.

Thats what I was afraid of
Yeah,
I guess I needed someone to confirm the fact that I f'd up the spark plug swap. Went back in and found that 2 SPARKPLUG gaps well too short and were NOT FIRING. So I essentially had a V4 under the hood. I regapped and now have the power once again. It's like having a new car. Thanks for the reply. See you on the forum. Noel |
