The rumours are true! Led Zeppelin to reunite for gig on November 26!

Led Zeppelin have confirmed they will re-form for a special show at London’s O2 arena on Monday, November 26.
Tickets cost £125 each and will be available 'by ballot'. More details as we have it.
The bill also includes Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman & The Rhythm Kings, Foreigner and Paolo Nutini.
Founding members Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals) and John Paul Jones (bass) will be joined by Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham, on drums.
The one-off performance has just been announced via a handout given to attendees at a press conference in the Vue cinema at the O2 complex. It’s a memorial gig in honour of Ahmet Ertegun, the co-founder and longstanding chairman of Atlantic Records.
Ertegun, the man who signed Zep to Atlantic, died in December 2006 at age 83.
Profits from the show will go to Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund which provides students with annual scholarships to universities in the UK, USA and Turkey.
In addition, a music scholarship open to all will be established at Ravensbourne College in the UK.
Singer Robert Plant reportedly let the cat out of the bag about the reunion last week. When asked by a fan whether the rumours about Zep re-forming were true, Plant explained that the band had had a meeting about the show on September 5. He also confirmed the reunion will be for one night only.
“There’s not a lot to work out as it’s only going to be one-off gig,” he explained.
Zep re-formed for Live Aid in 1985 with Phil Collins on drums. Page and Plant have played together sporadically since then. A further - brief - re-formation occurred at Atlantic Records' 40th anniversary bash in New York in 1988 with Jason Bonham on drums.
Three weeks prior to Zep's O2 show, Jimmy Page will be honoured as the Living Legend at the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour, Classic Rock magazine’s third annual award show. This year the awards will take place on Monday, November 5 at London’s prestigious Landmark Hotel.
Zep’s O2 show is being organised by legendary promoter Harvey Goldsmith.
Rumours of Zep’s reunion at the O2 have been circulating for some time. Recently several ticket sellers began advertising ticket and accommodation packages for prices between £250 and £350. At the time promoter Goldsmith denied that the tickets being sold were for a real event, but interestingly added the proviso that only ‘some’ of the dates announced were fabrications.
As soon as we know more details about the official Zep re-formation show, we’ll post them on the Classic Rock blogsite.

All they were missing was John Paul Jones. Paige and Plant did a tour together sometime back and by somtime i mean in the time i was alive.

I wonder what they had to do to get John Paul Jones to play with them again. Last I remember there was a rift between Page/Plant and Jones saying he'd never play with them again because after the death of Bonham it would never be the same again.I still remember back in 1980 when Bonham died, how much everybody was in shock at school.

They are definitely coming to north america. My stepdad and brother in law are going to see them in toronto. Im not sure when it is though. I'd like to go, too broke.

Just saw some footage of the concert on Youtube. Man the crowd sure looks OLD ( that's scary since most of them are either my age or a little bit older.)
