Sedan delivery

Did GM and Ford build Sedan delivery in the 40/50s or were they custom built by external builders? Did the 49 Ford and Mercury Sedan delivery ever existed in Ford brochures ?

I'm pretty sure there was a ford sedan delivery, but I have never seen or heard of a factory built merc S/D.

One might do a search on such a thing, but where to search is beyond me.
