Thinking of purchasing a Z28...

Found 93-95 a few for less than $4000.

Just wondering if theres anything quirky with those years I should know about.

Any Info would be great.

Thanks Guys (and Gals)

Red,
Try going to the LT1 tech section on http://web.camaross.com/forums/.
From what I've heard the LT1s are a little less quirky than the LS1s. Good Luck.

maybe pink slips?

Maybe you'd like to race my Nova...? Its just some dumb old domestic.. you know... crappy V8 and heavy car.. makes no differance that the V8 puts down 425hp 440tq and the car weighs 3100lbs.

hmmm torque, hey you wouldnt happen to know what that is would you?

I say the best thing you can do is take the Camaro to a trusted mechanic or a Chevy dealership and get it checked out. Good luck!

stop playin ur self
u no the only reason u think u fast is cause u use import tec.

dont get me wrong though i do like sum american cars such as the grand national, dat car is a beast, also charagers, also dem american cars that can 2 8sec runs n drive daily driven, also those of them that do 8sec all motor, got 2 give respect where it due..

but i hate dem american cars owner who think they are all high n mighty cause the got v-8, v-10, and v-12 and they dont do better then 11sec on the track, and they stand there n diss imports where as we have half the cylds and we post same or better times. lets not even go into road racing we no dat most domsetics suck in dat deparment.

Uh i think his Cavalier could whip your butt.

You look at his avatar? He's packing some goods. Unlike you.

And, big deal if your friend can run a 10.8, This isnt between him and me. This is between you and I, and right now I think my car is faster.

Imports 1 Domestic 2

And your english is terrible. You need to learn to use complete words and sentences. Come back when you grow up, and when you have your car then we can have a civilized conversation. Not bashing a car cause of where its made.

Redneck why not match up the best of both worlds. 70's datsun Z (preferrably 1973 and before so you wont have to worry about smog) and put in a chevy, ford, or even a dodge V8 in it. You are combining the two best things, a lightweight body with an extremely high output V8, doesnt even have to be a wild V8.

Lightbulb just a ride

93-95 z's do have some trouble, some had faulty rear ends, and head gaskets. so go for lt1 in 97, best lt1 year. or drop a lil more into a 98 ls1, a lil better block.

but then again just have to say that i run a 97 camaro RS n/a at 12.8 so i just have to say that yes that a 3.8L plus its all loaded with 2 12". ps2, dvd you name it.

so if you have a 240sx, why didnt u just put together the real money and throw down for a tt 300zx, considering all you have to do is exhuast, header, and tweakin of the turbo...ur all said and done.

yea man. i don't think you should talk so much sr20det. i'm only 16, and i too want to umm......"2n" an sr20det, but i give respect where it's due. i'm a typical asian racer wannabe, but i really do like domestics and imports on the same level. as long as it's fast, it's all good for me. no disrespect to you sr20det, i really hope you get your motor and go around smoking domestics and imports alike, just don't talk shit BEFORE you get your car. hahaha. and one thing.....sr20det's are DEFINATELY capable of reaching 400 hp. come on now, you should know that JDM nissan motors are built with performance in mind so the internals are built up stronger than they need be....build up the internals just a little bit and you can boost the hell out of that little 2.0......anyways i'm rambling......good luck w/ the camaro redneck...and i hope you have fun w/ it.....i live in long beach too, maybe i'll see you around the street races or if you're into that kinda shit...haha....maybe i can get a chance racing you someday.....not yet though......haha......and good luck w/ the 240sx sr20det2nr....hope you have fun w/ it..
