Polishing
Could somone show me or tell me the what are the best supplies for polishing a model. Could someone show the items that have produced the best results for you. I guess the products are probably made by Tamiya. Thankyou for your help.

Wetsand with 1500+, and then polish with tamiya compound. finish off with tamiya wax, or if you clearcoat zaino (worked great on hawk's camaro)

Hi, Im a newb here
Just want to ask you, what exactly is modeling wax and how do u use it? and what kind of fabric should I use for the rubbing compound?

Tamiya modeling wax is the equivalent to automotive wax. It adds a thin coat of protection and gloss so that fingerprints and scratches can't harm your model.
I recommend an old 100% cotton t-shirt for polishing.

I bought new Hasegawa Tritool finishing products, and tried them myself. (about 3000 yen total must not be disappointing.)
I tried Ceramic Compound and its designated polishing cloth on a red body, which was already finished with Modeler's Top Compound, and I the change was not so noticeable. However, when I polished a windshield part, it made a noticeable difference. I haven't tried, but I bet it would work well on dark colors. It's not for everyone, because Tamiya Compound + Modeler's Top Compound + Tamiya Modeling Wax just do the job well. But, Tritool is useful for those polisholic like me, and it's also useful when you are participating in a contest, and need the last second treatment to add just a bit more sheen on the body. Another advantage is that it's almost liquid-like and doesn't leave residues in the groove lines unlike Tamiya or Modeler's.
