Hatch aint linin up!?!?!

ok after i got broken into last thurs. i swapped my 88 hatch w/a 90 hatch and for some reason (guess its bent) the center piece is recessed too far forwards into the car....the left and right tails look kinda bugeyed and the center piece doesnt lay flat with them. I tried the little rubber things but that isnt what the prob. is. the hatch is also a pain to shut many times needs to be slammed twice before it latches. I might get a fal rear window...if theyre not too $$

any suggestions...???
