Black plastic automotive touch up paint

Hello,

My garage door spring broke and it glanced off my rear plastic bumper of my car scratching it. Does anyone know of any supplier that makes black (glossy) touch up paint to touch up scratches on plastic bumpers? If so, please respond to my email:

[email protected] (note the period between Norman and Rackison)

Thanks,

Norm Rackison

Do you mean the two plastic end caps or the bumper itself?

If its the plastic, just use Mothers Back to Black and follow the directions on the label. There is no cover-up paint that I know of.

The bumpers are grey, not black.

scratches on black plastic bumper

rddstarr,

Thanks for your reply. I'm talking about the bumper itself. You say Mothers back to black will fix it? I will give it a shot.

thanks again buddy

Question Still confused

If it is not the end caps do you mean the plastic cover that is on the bumper? If so Mother's works on that too. IF it is the metal part of the bumper......ask Nissan what paint it is!

In 3 years nobody has yet managed to get a proper paint color/code for the grey used on the metal portions of the bumpers, it's rediculous.

paint for bumpers

Off Road,

You're right! No one has the correct paints for bumpers, but I'll bet the body shops have them! I posted my message because I refuse to pay an auto body shop $200 to touch up the bumper with an airless sprayer! They'd make a couple quick passes (30 seconds worth of work) and charge $200! I'd buy the paint from them for whatever they wanted but I'm sure they wouldn't allow this. I'll do it myself and try the Mothers back to black and see what happens.

I wonder why we have no faith in body shops?
