Re: What is it?

Do you have a factory security system? Might be the led light for the system. Or if you have automatic headlights it may be the photosensor to allow the lights to come on automatically.

Re: What is it?

I'm 99.9% sure it's the auto headlight.

Re: What is it?

Not sure, but I think the self adjusting night miror uses it as a reference too, so your mirror doesn't darken up when dalight hits it.

I would think that the Eddie edition should have auto lights, it's got pretty well all option. On the older Fords, the auto light was right next to the cluster dimmer. On the newer ones, you turn the light switch to the A position. Counter clockwise to the off position.

Re: What is it?

If your Eddie Bauer has the automatic climate control (digital display for the HVAC) that sensor is the sunload sensor. This sensor is used to help determine the necessary blower speed for the HVAC (increase when the sun is bright) as well as for the auto headlights if you Eddie was so equipped. If you don't have the electronic automatic climate control, or any of the other features mentioned above, then I'd suspect you don't really have an Eddie Bauer, just the badges.

Wow, thank god for that repply I thought I was going crazy. I never thought of the possibilities of added EB badges. I just assumed the Eddie had pretty well all posible options.
