HELP!!! 98 740 check engine light

guys I have a 98 740 and the check engine light comes on at 6200rpm while shifting from 2-3. Anyone have any clues or similar issues?

There seems to be a misfire at 5, 6, & 8 cylinders only. Related?

Chcek Engine Light

The check engine light comes on for a number of causes. Many are emissions/fuel mixture related. A good place to get a breakdown of these is the Bently Repair manual for 740's. It will guide you through how to further define the cause of this warning. Hope this helps, it didn't look like you were getting many responses...Good luck...

Have you asked this question on the E38 board at Roadfly.com? I spend my time moving between that bord and this, good information both places.
