Question RSX, WRX, or Lancer EVO ?

Well ill be getting a new car in a short time. I have been into cars for about 2 months, and i was oobsesed with hondas and acuras. I first wanted a civic, then an integra, and and accord. I now want to get an RSX type S. This is where the confusion begins. I like RSX's i think they are nice cars, they arent too easy to hook up but it will be a fun car to work with. I was thinking about a WRX, but i think they are ugly and i dont really like subarus, they are fast but i havent seen many of them on the streets, or on magazines. Well the question is should i get an RSX, a WRX, i could wait for a lancer evo, or other cars i like GTI's i think they are nice but i need some help.

Well, you don't like the Impreza, so you can scratch that off.

I'm not aware of your budget, but LanEvo VII is not in the price range of the Impreza and RSX...so I'll leave that up to you.

RSX Type-S!

wrx sti=good...2nd would be the lancer (both are pretty pricey tho) an the 3rd would be the "s", no offense to that car, but the other two are simply better overall.

WRX too ugly interior and exterior
RSX-S Engine/Tranny problems like crazy (I have this POS currently)
EVO VII The engine/tranny has been proven time and time again for over 15years. Exterior looks sharp, interior looks good.

Go with the EVO. My previous car was a Mitsu, I loved it. I will soon be trading in my POS RSX-S

yO Man!

yO! Hey I own a RSX Type-S the 03 model, and I gotta say they are a Sweet Ride man! If you gonna compare them to performance of course the WRX or the Lancer VII is gonna out beat it. Overall I think the RSX Type-S is better. So I think you should go for the RSX Type-S and do some modifications such as TURBO, because REVHARD.COM and other performance shops are now making Turbos for RSX Type-S. Trust me you should get the RSX Type-S, it's not gonna let you down.

Yeah if you don't mind your engine going goodbye every 6 months like it has for me (in an RSX Type-S). Throw a turbo on and it will go sooner. Just to let you know my car is going under the Texas Lemon Law soon.

It's funny how I thought my old Eclipse (2nd gen, turbo) was the most unreliable Japanese FWD sports car that existed, but it never left me stranded, not once, it limped home a few times, but never stranded me. Then, I buy, what I thought, was the successor to the most reliable FWD sports car (the successor to the Integra, yes awesome car the Integra was known to be). Well, the RSX is on it's third Engine, has left me stranded numerous times, in the shop for 3 out of 21 months that I have had it, and the tranny is limping.

On a side note, I just bought my GF a '95 Integra Special Edition with 75K miles for only $5K. Sweet deal on the best car around. I Sooooo wanted to keep it for myself. I did get to drive it for a while until I got myself a '97 TL with 84K miles for $9.9K (just today) to hold me over as a second car due to the POS RSX being in the shop. I hate this car... and I will never buy a new Acura again. It better have a history of being a good car (like the Integra) or nothing.

This is why I'd go with the Lancer Evo VII. The Lancer is an above average car on it's own (for the past year). Then, you slap in a 4G63 and it's a proven monster! That single most important part of what made the Eclipse Turbo the greatness that it was/is. Ofcourse, you add the looks, and the overall performance (handling, braking, AWD, etc.) and that makes it above and beyond the WRX and what the Eclipse ever wanted to become (Eclipse's couldn't slalom, hard turns worked OK though).

I'm out, sorry for the long windedness.

Lancer sounds really gay and the RSX gets beaten by the SRT-4, I'd get an STi, that thing is awesome.

No question, the Evo. It outclasses the other two in every way shape and form.

Get the Evo. If I had the money and I could get my hands on one of those I'd have one in a second. They are such nice cars. The WRX Sti has 300 HP and the Lancer has 271 but the Lancer still beats it in everything from 0-60 to the 1/4 mile and the Lancer outhandles the Subaru too. Plus the Subaru doesn't come with a Stereo which sucks. RSX's are nice but nowhere near a Lancer Evo. If you're gonna go out and spend 30k on a car a Lancer EVO is the best thing you can buy in my opinion.

Hey man... if your talking about just a regular WRX and not the STi version...then definately the Lancer EVO but if you are talking abou the STi version then i'd go for the WRX STi

the thing with those two cars is that they are very expensive...a dealer in my area is selling the STi for 42,000....i don't know about u but thats just too much for me...and if anyone here doubts that price...and thinks i'm bs-ing the go here

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...or=&cardist=75

So realistically speaking get the RSX Type-S but if you got the money and patience to wait til mid June to late July then get WRX STi or EVO...the RSX doesn't even come close to their performance

go with the evo.....its an insane car...the best description for it is laser sharp handling......btw it has been proven that it is a better handler than the sti and which makes up for the power deficit.......
