Found $150 R-1 Racing Seats

It turns out I know a guy! A friend of mine works for a wholesale factory, or a shop of some sort. I didn't get all the details. Basically, it was "blah, blah, blah... I'll sell you a pair of brand new R-1 racing seats for $150 if you can come pick them up... blah, blah, blah".
I'm fairly content. I may be able to start buying bulk to resell for my company. If I do, I'll be sure to hook ya'll up.

It's a good thing I found these. My back's been KILLIN me cuz my Civic has NO lower back support in those damn seats. If I drive for 2 hours, I feel it for 2 weeks.

Anyways, I was gonna go get them this weenend, but when I tried to find some brackets I came up empty handed. I looked everywhere. Where can I find brackets for the racing seats and how hard are they to install (the seats, I mean)?

Are the R-1 seats considered a good seat? Because if they are I might get some myself, someone is selling them on ebay for a pretty good price.

I had a set of SPARCO turino seats in my 92 Civic Si. used them for one weekend, then sold them. They gave me horrible back pain. I loved the seats but killed my back.
I sat in the new seats from KONIG V-RACING seats. They are really comfortable. the design of the seat is kind of half and half. I mean half factory half racing. They are soft yet supportive.

Actually, I have a business selling aftermarket parts, so I get my seats from a warehouse for that cheap because of the volume of seats sold. Actually, a friend of mine owns a performance shop in STL and they sell a lot of seats, I just reap from their benefits.

R-1 anything is cheap to buy. But $150 a pair comes down to $75 a seat. That's pretty cheap. Its interesting because Hiper Industries' headquarters in Orange County, California doesn't even have the seats displayed in their showroom for anyone to sit and try and I go there to pick up orders for our shop sometimes (its 15 minutes away so its not that far). I've never asked about pricing for the seats because no one has ever had interest in them. But I will ask for you. Maybe you and I can work out a deal. I know that California shops (especially Southern California) get a better percentage off jobber than other shops around the nation because its more competitive here and venders have to lower prices to compete with each other so I will let you know.

Just about all of the seats are good. I love my R1s though. But yes, there are better seats, Corbleu and Sparco to name 2, and their price tags reflect them.

what makes sparco/corbeau/momo better is that they are race approved seats.. as where r-1/tenzo/DAD/Arospeed seats are not...

i wouldnt get a cheap set of seats if i were u...
