1948 fleetline vin number

Can someone please help me I'm trying to locate the vin number for my 1948 chevy fleetline can someone please give me any information as to wher can i find this vin number to my 48 fleetline

Open the driver's door. Look between the hinges on the A-pillar. There should be an embossed (stamped) metal tag with the VIN. The number is likely to be only nine characters long.

Thank you I found it on the passenger side door is that all I need to Identify my vechicle with the dmv
