Unhappy Translation from Japanese - Mr. Paint Remover

Hi there,

I got a bottle of GSI Creos Mr. Paint Remover as needed to strip some really stubborn paint applied on a bumper of a kit.

Could some japanese-speaking friend help translating what is written on the labels of the bottle, please?

Thank you very much in advance.

Cheers,
Lusitano

The first one is just a warning label. Like any other warning tags, DO NOT INHALE. Flammable, spray in well ventilated area, etc.

The second one is directions on how to use it. LIke use it outside, well ventilated, don't overspray, etc.

I know how you feel.
I've been looking for any english information on gunze/GSI paint labels.
My LHS carries the paint and I've asked them to check with their distributor for the information. It really begs the question how can they sell their products in the US without product safety info in english?

^ That's why it's JDM goodness. Do you really want me to translate the whole thing for you? I narrowed it down to the basic for you.

Re: Translation from Japanese - Mr. Paint Remover

Thanks you all for your help.

@puffyrs:
Unfortunately my OCR software isn't quite "confortable" handling Japanese. Being a "graphic" script, the distortion caused by the bottle also doesn't help at all.

@xpeed:
If you could translate only the application directions it would be excellent.
I mean, are we supposed to brush the parts with this product? Dip them in it? Does it say how to clean the parts and tools/brushes after the application? Is it incompatible with anything?
Thank you very, very much for your help.

I have been turning to Japanese modeling stuff some time ago for their great quality and, while a lot of products don't pose much trouble, there are some that will render a kit FUBAR real easy if not applied properly... I am afraid this is one of them.

Once again, thank you!

Cheers,
Lusitano

Disclaimer: I don't read Japanese. I can only read the Chinese characters and make good guesses with the help of my own experience.
I'll try with what I can read and a little personal exp.
Off first pic:
1. Keep away from children
2. Don't breath vapors. (one note: this stuff is a LOT stronger than most thinners out there, including hardware store lacquer thinner)
3. Keep away from flames.
4. Wash if contact with skin occurs
4a. Wash eyes under running water
4b. don't understand
4c. Seek medical attention if swallowed.
5. Keep in cool place and out of direct sunlight.
6. Do NOT re-use container
7. Use only for paint removing purposes.
Off second pic:
Uses: Removal of: Mr. Color paints, water and oil based. Cleaning of dirty things. Removal of oils.

1. This product is designed to remove dried paint.
2. Paint will wipe off easily with a cloth once product has been left long enough.
3. This product will warp, melt, soften some materials if left on too long.
4. Fine details may disappear, thin materials may warp. Will cause clear parts to fog.
5. Be sure to test on scrap beforehand.
6. Wear gloves while using product.
7. Strong Citrus acids are contained in this product, use in a well ventilated area.
8. Evaporation should be expected if container is left open for long periods of time.
9. Mixing this product with others is prohibited.

Personal notes:
This stuff stinks, period. Worse than cellulose thinners IMO. Ventilate well.
The less the better. This stuff is strong and will eat through styrene faster than acetone if left unattended. My method of usage: brush a little on give it a short while 10-30 seconds (depends on how thick the paint is really) and wipe off with an old t-shirt. Keep on with this until you have that area stripped to what you want.
Don't even try putting it in your ab. It works too fast for you to fill up, spray, clean AB, wipe down model. There is also a high likelyhood of melting whatever platic/rubber parts there are in your ab.
Personally I think that this product is only good for quick strips and touch-ups. If you are thinking of stripping a car body with this... I would you suggest other methods.

HTH,
Steve
