94 buick regal accelerator
Help! my accelerator is sticking and I can't figure out what it might be. Could the idle air control valve be doing it? Thanks

Re: Throttle Position Sensor set too high
Welcome to AF.
I see you figured out how to post a new thread. Your post at the thread below has been merged with this one. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=730011 To start you will need to determine if is it the accelerator cable and linkage to the throttle body or a possible throttle body butterfly plate sticking. You can remove the accelerator cable and then move the throttle body butterfly manually. Carbon builds up in the throttle body and it may just need cleaning. Use carb or throttle body spray cleaner. Also, you can remove and clean the IAC valve. Normally a dirty or bad IAC will cause a high idle.
