What size is the tip of the pens you guys use for the doorshut lines? I use 0.20mm, but it looks too big, I think I should use .05 ? opinions?

What's the smallest you guys have ever seen? I need smaller than .04 , I'm kindy picky but I need more realism, .04 is too wide, take a look at real cars, they're not that wide, I need smaller...

The pen will be fine on Tamiya kits as there panel lines are alot smaller then the Fujimi ones which a rather wide and deep, therefore giving larger lines

Use capillary action, and let thinned paint flow instead.

Try looking at an art supply or craft house that sells disposable technical pens. I use Pigma Micron-available from .08 (huge) down to .005 (very fine). For model work .005 and .01 will be the best. These are permanent black inks, made for high-quality technical illustration work. They cost about $2 each, or a bit less if you buy a set of them.

For panel lines I quit using them, since I prefer to use thinned flat acrylic paints that work quite well w/capillary action, and the colors are far more believable. The pens are still good for small details, filling in details on chrome wheels/hubcaps/grilles. I use a Sharpie pen to outline most modern headlight and taillight covers, makes them look like they've got a seal and hides the glue marks.

i think he means black lines dont look good on colored cars. you should use a darker color of the car color, not black everytime.
