DOOR FITS - Year to Year
Does anyone know if a drivers front door from a 97 taurus will fit a 2003 taurus ? I realize the "body style" changed between 1999 and 2000 but I believe the front doors stayed the same aside from perhaps the mirror and the molding. Anybody out there know??? Thanks for your time and appreciate your responses !!!

Re: DOOR FITS - Year to Year
Welcome to AF!
If you can get your hands on a Hollander Interchange manual, it may be able to tell you. many salvage yards use these to help find interchangeability and to inventory parts. You could try calling a local salvage yard and ask if they interchange.

Re: DOOR FITS - Year to Year
Yes, they will work. I have been trying to find a 96-99 Toreador Red door for my 01 Toreador Red Taurus.
I have heard that the 96-97 have different mounting designs, but while comparing a 96 and 99 next to each other in the junkyard and there were no noticeable differences. Before you go and rip off the wires, there are connectors where the doors plug in electrically to the car, pay attention so you don't have to splice everything back together. Taurus Sedans use one style rear door whereas Sable Sedans, Sable Wagons and Taurus Wagons used a different style door.
