Tamiya R34 V-Spec II

Just want to let you know that http://www.1999.co.jp has the Tamiya R34 V-Spec II arrived. I read through the instruction, and it come with 2 sets of rims, larger disc brakes, GT Wing type Stands and front and rear GTtype "under panels" (cannot believe they have those on a street car).

And 1800yen is kind of acceptable. I think I am going to get this one......

more info at here: http://www.1999.co.jp/asp/GoodsDetai...p_right102.asp

Actually the new Toyota MR-2 Spyder has a nearly full underbody plastic panel. I heard it takes like 30 something screws/bolts to remove the darn thing. The kicker is that it has to be removed just to change the oil!

Lotus_mans Elise also has a full undertray and diffuser. Makes doing anything under your car a pain in the arse...

Could be worse, a friend destroyed the diffuser on his 355 on a speed ramp, and you don't want to know what it cost to fix that!

Sounds like a good price for a Tamiya kit, might have to add one to the next order. Can we get a shot of the two sets of rims?

I bought two yesterday. One for the NISMO conversion using the LM-GT4 wheels, and the other for the Nur with the stock wheel. The remaining LM-GT4 will be used for a NISMO 350Z S-Tune conversion.
Good looking wheels and brake disks for no extra cost. I hope Tamiya continues this practice, or just put optional parts from the first release.

Hirofkd, I'm interested in your NUR-spec Project. How are you going to get the correct paint for the car?

Me too! They should realise the potential in aftermarket parts since the release of Gran Turismo and our enthusiasm for all thinks aftermarket!!!

That would be interesting! Apparently it is a silca pearl base which has a flip effect! Kinda hard to replicate!
