Lindberg these days

Seems that old model maker Lindberg is back. Anyone has more information?

Lot's of (re)releases, ModelExpress "recent releases/coming soon" list and at least one new model, '07 Super Bee.

Good to see Lindberg brand back.

Re: Lindberg these days

it appears that possibly Model King or someone like that has aquired the mold, or

looks like they are going to be repopping most of their best kits. I know the vickies (crestline convertibles and crown vic) are fantastic kits that build easily into fine models. the 4X4 F150 is also a great model. the 34 Ford pickup/tow truck/flatbed is somewhat of a dissappointment. The custom 37, 38 kits are just reissues of the Testors models (Boyd Coddington Smoothster based kits) and are pretty decent but take some skill to get a really good model.

I'm kind of exited about the '48 ford convertible kit. that's one of my favorites!

Re: Lindberg these days

Lindberg was acquired by Hawk. and they've been reissuing everything in the Lindberg catalog but the 1/20 scale stuff. the Charger is modified from the Testors tooling. but will be I believe 1:25 scale, because the test shot they had the NNL East appeared to me to be 1:25 scale, its also 10 bucks cheaper then the Testors version.

Re: Lindberg these days

The same company that tooled the Testors Chargers also tooled the Lindberg Super Bee, J Lloyd International. I tend to believe that they will use the Testors tool in 1/24 scale and add the pertinent items from the Super Bee to the tool.
I look forward to some of the re-releases myself, including that Super Bee.
