Peterbilt 359 truck

Hi Guys,

This is my first and only truck kit I made. I made it years ago, so I think I let it to be seen. The kit is Revell Germany kit with no major problems. I had fit problems with the wheels only and broke one of the headlights (my fault), anyway, it was a good kit. It was such a long time to build so I decided not to build another one for a good. Everything is box stock. Pics are not the best quality as they were taken with an older digicam and as you can see, indoor.

Here comes the pictures:

Thanks for looking!

Re: Peterbilt 359 truck

nice truck... i wished more people made trucks on this website. Aparantly the size scares lots of people. now go buy the car trailer from revell, hang it onto the Peterbuild and put some cars on it! It'll make a great display! The trailer is BIG, but it can be build verry quickly. I build mine in 4 days...

Thanks for the comments on my truck, dude!

How long is the trailer you made?

How many cars can you put on?

I need to know the length as I have limited room in my glassy display case!

Thanks!

Re: Peterbilt 359 truck

I built the Midnight Express version of this kit. I can say, you did a fantastic job with that kit. my chassis was all twisted, and warped. the cab took some convincing to make it look right, the engine didn't fit well, the hood didn't fit the cab, the list goes on. you did a fantastic job on this kit. maybe I need to get the ROG version, it may be a different kit all together.

as for the car hauler he was talking about, it's about 2 feet long, then behind that truck, it will be almost 3 feet long. it's a fantastic trailer though, it has all the hydraulic lines, chains and other stuff as well.

great job, I too would like to see more trucks.

this is the trailer. so about 60cm. I think truck+trailer is about 80cm long and the trailer can hold 6 cars. Just beware that the trailer is 1/25. So it's a little bit to narrow for most cars. and wide cars (lambo, ferrari's) are to wide for most trailers, So you'll have to widen the trailer a little bit. It' not that hard. Only be verry cautions for the rearview mirrors when you put cars in it.

this is mine:

You'll see that i've put the widest car on top.

greets

Thanks dude! Mine was almost perfect as for the quality, maybe I was lucky with this one.

As for the car transporter trailer, I finally found it on the web. Its more than 59 centimeters long (its about 23-24 inches), and with the truck, its about 93 centimeters (36-37 inches). Unfortunately the biggest size of my display case is 72 centimeters diagonally (about 28-29 inches), so I think its not gonna be enough...

Anyway, if you guys have any trucks, lets see it!!!

Re: Peterbilt 359 truck

I'm busy building the Revell 50th anniversary show truck & trailer, it's the first truck I've attempted and it is quite a challenge as its huge. I don't know where I'm going to put it when I'm done as it is about three times the width of my display unit. I've also got the Italeri Subaru Rally truck and trailer in my to do pile. Hopefully time permitting I'll have them both done by the end of the year.
