Hi, this is gonna sound like the stupidest thing ever but...
I backed into my parking space too far and the exhaust dug into the ground a little. After that I was hearing a strange farting noise coming from the tailpipe. I soon discovered that there was a pine cone stuck in there, and my attempts to retrieve it have only pushed it further in. Now I'm pretty positive that it is in the the muffler. I've driven it since (with caution) but I'm afraid its causing some sort of damage... even though it doesn't seem to be affecting anything, and I cant hear it anymore. What should I do? |

Re: Pine Cone in Exhaust :S
Remove it.
You do realize pine cones are highly flammable and taking into account the fact that exhausts get hot - you have the proverbial sh!t just waiting to hit the fan.

Re: Pine Cone in Exhaust :S
Ya, only problem is...I dont have the means to replace the muffler right now. And the end piece of the pipe bends in such a way that I cannot retrieve it myself.
Me trying to remove it is how it got back there in the first place. I was kinda just hoping it would disintegrate slowly in there, cause I can't not drive my car. Thanks for the advice though. Although I'm terrified to drive now... |
