Re: whistling sound

Maybe you're missing a weather seal somewhere. Look around the door jams and windshield for missing rubber.

Re: whistling sound

I had this issue. I had to get a new window motor because it wasnt pushing the window all the way into the rubber seal. See if you can zero in on the culprit. Have someone sit in the car while your flying down the highway. Or pump the radio up and ride!

Re: whistling sound

Look at the weather-stripping around the windshield. Is it loose anywhere, or is there any rot or buckling on it?

Re: whistling sound

Hi VR
I'm a newbie on here and was just about to post a thread about a problem with my driver's side, (UK R/H side), door glass that may be the same as your problem. I started to notice a whistling / wind rush sound when travelling at speed which has gradually got worse. When I eventually got around to checking out all the seals etc I noticed that the top corner of the driver's door glass was sitting on the outside of the door seal. The problem has now reached the point where, if you don't push on the outside of the glass as you raise it, the top of the glass will sit completely on the outside of the seal from about half-way up the window aperture. The glass raises squarely, (horizontally), but seems completely askew virtically. Before I just start pulling the door apart I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and if so what's the remedy please. Thanks.
Pete.
