Mercedes 300E

Here's my deal, I'm 16 years old I can get my license in about 2 months so I trying to figure out what car I'm gonna get. My dad has a 87 Mercedes-Benz 300E with about 150,000 miles on it. I could get that from him for free or very cheap but my mom says that since its a mercedes that any parts i have to buy for it will be much more expensive than if it were a cheaper brand like ford honda etc. Is this true and if so how big is the difference?

Re: Mercedes 300E

Check out this link from another forum on this site that discusses the issue of parts prices for foreign cars. That might help you in your decision making about the Mercedes.http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=705892
