tein coilovers?

i'm looking into tein coilovers for an s14, but there are too many to choose from. which would be the best for all around(daily drive, drift, drag, autocross)? hopefully it's one of the cheaper ones, i really don't want to spend over 1500(when i find a car anyway).

as far as coilover's in general, how is the ride...does the car bounce around? i've seen some lowered cars doing this? what causes that?

shocks that can't hold the springs. Some people just cut their springs or buy new ones with higher spring rates. This causes the car to bounce more and basically the shocks job is to DAMPEN the bouncing.... you can tell a big difference when your riding in a car with good shocks... for example take a big speed bump at say 20mph and if the car just sticks to it and doesn't bounce over it, it has ample dampening force.

yup. cars with bad shocks, if they hit any kind of bump, it woudl almost bottom out, and if you press on the front or the rear of the car, it would bounce back up pretty quickly and it would just keep on bouncing like its on just brings. if your in a well dampened car, you take a bump, you just take it, when you corner or acell hard, the car won't sag as much and it won't bounce back. like if you acelerated the car sags but once its done saging, it sort of bounced back forward. its hard to explain. you have to feel it to know.

tein edfc controler. sorry but if you want quality, you need money. its an electronic dampening devise that you can change with a touchg of a button. drag racing , road course, cruising and you can custom set it as well.

ya i know about that, that's only like 300, but i need to know which type of coilover to get first. they have about 7 different ones for the s14. i might get the electronic controller thing later, but for now i can deal with adjusting them with a spanner wrench.
