crx vtec swap

im looking to swap a vtec engine in a crx my question is which engine should i use, b18c b16a2 or b20 with vtec head. it looks that the b20/vtec is the most expensive, which will keep me from putting aftermarket parts on it, but would it be worth the extra torque. also how does the b20 hold up, is it too weak for all the power with vtec. And what tranny should i use for the crx swap.

How about swapping in a d16z6 or d16y8? Both have vtec, and both cost about $700 for a complete swap.

Edit: CRVTEC would be badass, but not very reliable.

No, dont go CRVtec, cause Marc-OS is right, NOT reliable, if you want vtec, go with d16y8 is your on a budjet, or go with the b16a because its a very strong motor. Or if you have the green, go with the b18c.. I personally dont care much for vtec, so i'm gonna go with a b18a engine and turbo it..... i'd preffer Boost over Vtec......

Go with a B18 w/ turbo or drop the loot into a B18c5. any other swap in my opinion is not worth it. Or get a B16 with you had gotten the ITR motor.

BLAHBLAH

MY TORQUE LESS B16 PUT IT ON AN ECLIPSE ON 14 PSI LAST NIGHT. YOU ONLY NEED SO MUCH TORQUE IN A CRX. I WOULD GO WITH A GSR TURBO SET UP. TOO MUCH MONEY THOUGH.:smoker2:

if you want vtec i would go b16a, dont go b18c5 that is a hard ass swap to do and a big pain. the b20 with a vtec head would be nice but not that reliable, if you got the time and the money anything is possible but if you want simple vtec go the d16 motors or a b16a. with the b16a you throw msd, injectors, intake, complete exhaust with ctrs mmmmmmm ctrs you will be one fast ass crx
