New Kit-Tamiya R33 GTR

Hey,

I got a new kit, the Tamiya R33 GTR, and I was wondering if you guys had any input/suggestions or if theres anything to be on the lookout for. I'm planning to put a Motorcycle canister exhuast and I want to use Fujimi Yokohama Model 7's on it. Is there a way to convert the wheels so they can be used on a Tamiya kit. I belive the pegs are different on the Tamiya wheels.

There have been several threads on that subject of the Fujimi/ Tamiya swaps. Do a search on the forum's search engine. Sometimes these guys in here know exactly where it is because they've posted on that subject. Maybe someone will respond with a link. Just be patient.

The trick is, take the wheels, take the axels, and look at them for real long, and it should come to you. Just think about it, it really isn't that hard.

well yeah but i've heard stories about how people have tried to do this and completely ruined both the wheels and the axles, so i want to know how to do it right. i don't want to start on it, cut the axles off only to find that my idea won't work and i've just ruined my model.

Superglue will fix anything...

Really, I think you'd only encounter problems if you try to maintain the rotating ability of the tire. If not, then I think spending a day with some power tools should solve your problem
