creating wood bed question-

i know i need pop sickle sticks and i was told to use some size of nickel plated railroad track and im curious what size should i use for creating a wood bed on this kit-

What size? Probably a size to fit the bed of the truck.

Do you mean scale? In model railroads, 'G' scale is closest to 1/24.

He doesn't need railroad track "I" beams to hold his bed wood down, he needs bed strips.

I used to build REAL 1:1 bed wood kits and all of the accompanying hardware, so here's what I would suggest.

get some REALLY tight grain wood strips (popsickle sticks work, but there are finer grains out there), and a few strips of "N" or "HO" scale track, depending on how wide you want your bed strips to be. While I worked at Mar-K, our kits contained six un-cut bed length wood planks, two bed length planks with a notch cut out for the wheel house, four short planks in front of the wheel house, and four short planks for behind the wheel house. with a metal strip that actually holds the wood down to the cross beams under the wood.
